My LAST Pre-T post

So chaps and chapettes, next week I will be on T. I am so freaking excited it's unreal! I don't think it will quite sink in until I actually get it. I will be using Testogel and I'm pretty happy about that! I will post regular updates from the week after I start.

My Face Pre-T

Here are some photos of how my face looks pre-t. I will put one of these up each month after I start T until the changes slow down. Please excuse the onesie!

Binder Reviews

I'm going to write a quick review of each of the binding techniques I have used and rate them out of 5 on effectiveness, comfort, cost and ease of use.

Cling Film: I used this as it was the only thing available. It doesn't let your skin breathe and I certainly wouldn't recommend using it. It can leave you with some nasty sores.
Effectiveness- 4
Comfort- 1
Cost- 2
Ease of Use- 1

Elasticated Bandages: They are time consuming to put on and take off but they bind fairly well, apart from if you are wearing one shirt, you can see the bandages. They are rather expensive to replace as well, the elastic doesn't last very long if you bind every day.
Effectiveness- 4
Comfort- 2
Cost- 1
Ease of Use- 2

T-Kingdom: These binders are great. I got my first binder here and loved it. I would recommend it for people with smaller chests. My chest is quite large so it did not appear totally flat. But it was comfortable and easy to put on and take off. It is also not very expensive. I would suggest getting two so they can be washed.
Effectiveness- 3
Comfort- 4
Cost- 4
Ease of Use- 5

Zaggemous: These would be perfect for people with a small chest, for someone with a larger chest it is just not a good choice, but they are so unbelievably comfortable! And the boxers they make are fantastic for anyone; especially if you use a packer.
Effectiveness- 1
Comfort- 5
Cost- 4
Ease of Use- 5

Underworks: By far the best binders I've used. I have the double front compression binders in black and white and they are so effective. My chest appears completely flat. They are totally worth the cost and last a really long time. It takes a while to get used to putting them on and taking them off but you will get used to it after a few tries.
Effectiveness- 5
Comfort- 3
Cost- 3
Ease of Use- 4

An Introduction To Daniel

Hey!
So I decided to set up this blog for 2 reason; firstly to document my transition and secondly to inform others who may be in the same situation as me. Anyway, I am a female to male transsexual and I am right at the beginning of my transition. I am not yet on hormones and haven't had any surgery BUT with any luck that will be changing very soon. I decided to go down the private route for treatment rather than the NHS as I have waited long enough for my life to begin! I am seeing Dr Curtis in London and he is really great. I am going to my second appointment in a couple of weeks and hopefully he will start to prescribe my testosterone then. I have had all my blood tests done and I am just waiting on one last result to come back... estrogen... the bane of my life!!

I realise I should tell you a little about coming out and my life in general. So I will. I came out just over a year ago to my family. But about 5 years ago to friends. I was very well accepted by all my friends as they seemed to understand that I am mentally a male, my body just did not agree! I have been binding since I was 15, so that's 6 years. Before I knew what transsexualism was I used cling film and bandages to bind my chest. After some research I found out some more and bought my first binder, what a relief that was. I'm so glad to have my binders now!! I pass as a young male 100% of the time. People assume I am 14-16 years old. They always look slightly shocked when I say I am 21. Bring on the beard I say!

I plan on getting my top surgery done with Dai Davies ASAP so hopefully in January at some point if I am lucky, we will see how it goes!
